Here we go again... 2nd official acceptance letter and 1st official scholarship offer. Tusculum seems like a nice school- we don't know a bunch about it. But next week that will be fixed as we have a tour lined up. So far she has just applied to her "safety" schools. They are schools she would definitely be happy to go to (2 have her forensic science degree) (these 2 are also state schools and unfortunately that means less need based financial aid)(#NO LOANS).
The BIG scholarship application was sent off on Monday so now we wait to see if she progresses to the next level. If she does, she has some decisions to make- this opportunity comes with all sorts of perks whether you progress or not, so figuring out what she wants to do will be most likely send her hiding under her bed for a week or two. Currently I think Emory and Vanderbilt are near the top with Davidson and Washington & Lee. She gets to rank up to 8 of the 36 partner schools to be considered for a locked-in 4 year, all inclusive + scholarship and of course can apply to any of the partner schools regular decision or ED once she finds out the outcome (if she even decides to rank). She is undecided as of yet- trying to weigh her best options.
We both need wine.
